About Me
I currently attend the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. I am currently 20 years of age, 7 of those was spent making websites. I enjoy the challenge of solving a complicated problem, thus computer science was a natural foray of my talents.
I have created several web applications throughout the years; my preferred language is PHP using the LAMP environment. I have done work for several small companies, and have improved many sites. I have done work ranging from small apps, backend systems, and large applications. Usability and functionality are key components in my work, and I am always looking to improve upon them. For these reasons, I find JavaScript and PHP to be the backbone of my work. I find that they offer infinite possibilities and countless opportunities to increase the effectiveness of the web. Now of course I am aware that there are alternatives to these products but I find them to be the best for my style of design.
Projects
4tw.us
4tw.us is a web application which allows users to combine gaming accounts / profiles into a single application. Thus allowing users to be able to share all their gaming profiles with one link. It also offers short redirects to each account, thus offering a url shortening service for their gaming profiles.
This site has a completely custom PHP backend, with custom content management system.
Sigs.us
Sigs.us is a web application to create World of Warcraft Forum Signatures; it uses the World of Warcraft API to get the data associated with the users account. It then creates a signature based on that information, it features a one click methodology where the users only need to enter three fields and they get a signature. Unlike other sites which offer the same service.
The site uses a custom PHP script for signature creation, and for the retrieval of XML data. It also uses JQuery for the customization of signatures.
